Scott attended the band instrument repair program at Renton Technical College in Renton, WA. Briefly, after receiving his certificate he apprenticed a the now defunct Northwest Winds in Seattle, WA. Moving home to the SF Bay Area he was hired on with Best Instrument Repair in Downtown Oakland, CA where he was trained by Bob Gross as a woodwind specialist.
After 7 years with Best Repair, Scott relocated back to his hometown of San Jose, CA. There he was hired by Music Village as a full time in-house repair tech.
Currently Scott repairs from a private studio in San Jose, CA.
Scott Simon is a flute technician living in San Jose, CA. With 15 years of repair experience, he is both Straubinger and Muramatsu Certified.
